This site republishes public registers. Source by source: the licence it is published under, and the condition its publisher sets — read from the publisher's own terms page, on the date shown.

The State Revenue Service's methodological guide to the natural resources tax report (Pārskats par aprēķināto dabas resursu nodokli) describes its column 3, «Nodokļa maksātājam izsniegta atļauja vai licence, BIS numurs», as requiring the number of an A or B category polluting activity permit, a C category registration, a waste management permit, a water resource use permit or a natural resource use permit — and «Atļauja nav nepieciešama» if no permit is needed. Seven of the nine files published here are named, one by one, by that box. The deadline is the 20th of the month following each quarter, and 20 January for category C pollution. ⚠️ AND ONE NUMBER MATTERS MORE THAN THE LICENCE. Of 1,058 waste management permits, 753 (71.2%) are cancelled and only 285 are in force; of 3,753 subsoil licences, 463 (12.3%) are valid. The files are the complete history, not a list of what is currently valid. Handing waste to a carrier on the strength of a number that was once good is wrong two times in three, which is why the status is on every row. ⚠️ AND ONE FIELD DOES NOT GO ON INDEXABLE PAGES. The site-of-activity address is normally an installation — a boiler house, a treatment plant, a farm — not a home, and Latvia publishes it so that it can be checked. There is no page per permit anywhere, which is why a permit number returns nothing on the open web.
